Performance Projects

New instruments, new music, new ensembles.

Total Vocals

Working for inclusive opportunities in vocal training and performance for 9-19 year olds with SEND in Greater Manchester.

Initially funded by the National Foundation for Youth Music, Total Vocals is now a long-term partnership between the Greater Manchester Music Education Hub and ourselves to bridge the gap between SEN/D and mainstream vocal music in Manchester.

Why not join us at our next Super Sing Event; 10:30-11:30, 27th June at the Quays Theatre, The Lowry Centre, Salford.

There will be a live trio accompaniment with Kenton Mann as MD.

The Lowry Centre opens at 10:00am so participating groups will be able to access the centre and go straight to the Quays Theatre where you will be met by Sue Mann. You will be shown where to sit and we’ll start promptly at 10:30.  Singers will be on stage, staff and volunteers in the stalls or first tier of boxes. Drinking and eating is not permitted in the theatre.

Event is free but booking is essential. Transport and parking by own arrangement. Please be aware that parking at the Lowry Centre is not permitted.

RSVP to Kenton Mann via email musicunlimited@me.com or phone 07704 576591 by 31st March.

Change the Music

Funded by National Foundation for Youth Music

Creative music for 16-25’s with SEND in Greater Manchester 2013-14

059A9882

Everyone who is involved with SEN/D provision knows that there is a major drop off in life choices once youg people leave college.

We believe 18-25 is actually a golden time for many with SEN/D. Physical, medical and behavioural issues are likely to be managed and the strength to concentrate and get around is likely to be as good as it ever will be. This is exactly the time when life choices need to increase not disappear.

Change the Music was an attempt to show what young adults can do given the chance,

Please see our You Tube Channel for video evidence of what our young musicians achieved.

In the Mix

Using electronics to link secondary students with SEN/D to their maintream peers.

We use Korg Kaosillators, iPads, Vocal Processors, anything we can find that enables people to forget what they cannot do and get straight into making and performing music.

Please call if you would like to discuss running an “In the Mix” project for your students.
